STRANDS IN THE TECH-VOC TRACK

Compliance with all the competencies entitles the graduates of the Tech-Voc Strand to receive a high school diploma from the Department of Education and National Certificate from TESDA.

  • Agri-Fishery Arts (Agricultural Crops Production)

    The fundamentals of the course aim to develop the knowledge, skills, and desirable attitudes of students enabling them to acquire the following standards and core competencies:

    • Knowledge in horticulture and vermicomposting, soil preparation, nutrients management, and pest control.
    • Farm management and implementation of new agricultural methods.
    • Skills in planting, supervision, maintenance, and harvesting of crops.
    • Proper use of farm tools and equipment
    • Business and entrepreneurial skills.

  • Home Economics (Cookery)

    The course is designed to develop knowledge, skills, and desirable attitudes of students who can demonstrate the following standard and core competencies:

    • Basic culinary and safety skills in the use of kitchen equipment and utensils
    • Knowledge in food science and nutrition, especially on food preparation and cooking
    • Application of techniques on food preparation and cooking
    • Business and entrepreneurial skills.

  • ICT Computer Programming and Computer System Servicing

    The course aims to develop the knowledge, skills, and desirable attitudes of students in the field of Computer Programming that produces the following standard and core competencies:

    • Designing, creating, and executing computer programs
    • Analyzing, generating, and implementing algorithms and programs using the latest industry-recognized programming language
    • Creating and performing fine-tune Java technology application

  • ICT Technical Drafting and Computer System Servicing

    The course aims to develop the students’ technological skills in technical drafting by creating detailed architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, sanitary, and plumbing layouts. Students are expected to demonstrate the following standard and core competencies:

    • Knowledge of technical drawings, design, models, and plans used by construction and production workers.
    • Skills in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), a field of engineering that focuses on designing and drafting objects, materials, and detailed layouts through specialized software that visualizes 3D models and dimensions.
