It’s another hurrah for our very own GS pupils as they win anew in international Math competitions.

ANA KARENINA BATUNGBAKAL OF L 11-12 was awarded 3RD Placer in the China Primary Math Olympiad in Shijiezhuang, China last August 10 – 16, 2007.  She was likewise part of the Philippine Team which garnered 5th Place in the Suduko Contest.

Other whiz kids who gave honor to our school include Philip Lizarda of L 11-12 and Kerwin Edfrey Utanes of L 13-14 who bagged Merit Awards in the recently concluded 3rd International Math Competition held at ISS International School in Singapore from August 16 – 21, 2007.  The contest was participated in by China, India, Malaysia, Singapore & the Philippines.

Truly their sterling achievements reflect the competitive spirit of our pupils and how they are able to stand at par with their foreign counterparts.  Our heartfelt congratulation to all the winners!

The rigidly intensive training was paid off when the MTG kids gave their best shot in both the individual and team competitions during the recently concluded Po Leung Kuk - Primary Mathematics World Contest held on July 13-18, 2007 in Hong Kong.

The remarkable performance of Amiel Sy, a former Grade 6 pupil of Jubilee Christian Academy but now a 1st year student of Philippine Science High School, bested other foreign contenders by winning the First Honor Award in the individual contest. Following close behind him were Vance Eldric Go - St. Jude Catholic School, Carmela Antoinette Lao - St. Jude Catholic School, Matthew Stephen Ng - Chiang Kai Shek College, Niel Benjamin Kho - San Beda College Alabang, and Miguel Sebastian Santos - PAREF Southridge School who grabbed the Second Honors Award while Geovin Dexter Uy - Chiang Kai Shek College, Henry Jefferson Morco - Chiang Kai Shek College and Arvin Wilson Alba - former pupil of San Beda College and now Philippines Science High School settled for Third Honors Award.

The stiff team competition managed to make the Philippine Luzon Team composed of Kenneth Co-Xavier School, Audrey Celine Lao - St. Jude Catholic School, Henry Jefferson Morco and Miguel Sebastian Santos to make homerun.
