A BEDAN TOPS DENTISTRY BOARD EXAMS

Katherine Sacco Molina    Katherine Sacco Molina, batch ’99 of San Beda College Alabang (SBCA) high school ranks third in the 2005 Dentistry Board Examinations given by the Board of Dentistry in Manila last December 2005.

Out of 1,328 examinees, 473 passed and out of these passers, Katherine Molina got the third place with an average of 80.56 %. The first placer, Elisette Ong Dy got 81.18 % and the second placer got 81.14 %.

A loyal Alabang Bedan, Katherine has been a constant recipient of the Honorable Card of Merit during convocations and maintained academic standing until graduation in high school when she became a Bronze Medal Awardee.

Katherine who belonged in the Medical Science Section in the high school mentioned in an interview made by Ron Paguio, (a Legal Management student of CAS) that the Career Tracking Scheme helped her a lot when she pursued a medical course at the University of the Philippines, Manila. The training that she got in the special curriculum of the MedSci group made it easy for her to cope with the new lessons in some of her medical subjects in college.

With the tedious expectations in UP Manila, she only followed one formula: ORA ET LABORA—PRAYER AND WORK. Of all the values and lessons she got during her stay at SBCA these really rubbed into her. She believes that ones effort and work will never be enough without the power of prayers.

Currently, she is working in the dental clinic of her cousin in Muntinlupa. This coming year, she will take up a 6-month training on oral surgery in UP Manila. Afterwhich, she will pursue a 6-month training on Pediatric Dentistry in the same school. She would like to have a post-graduate degree in the United States to further enrich her knowledge and capabilities in her practice of dentistry. If given the chance, she would also like to work as a school dentist at SBCA to have more exposure aside from her outside practice. This will also be her way of showing her gratitude to her high school alma mater.

Roar loud Red Lions….Another Bedan achiever on her way!
