Peace!
I am very pleased to announce the signing of the
Collective Bargaining Agreement between San Beda College Alabang and the
San Beda College Alabang Employees’ Association on September 10, 2009 at
the Function Room of Conti’s Restaurant at BF Paraňaque.
The CBA was signed by Rector-President Dom Clement Ma. Roque, OSB, Chair
Mrs. Arlyn Gatmaitan and members of the Management Panel and Chair Mr.
Lozanto De Lara Jr. and members of the Union Panel.
The CBA was crafted after nine meetings of negotiations conducted in a
very cordial spirit. The Management Panel was composed of the Chair,
Mrs. Arlyn Gatmaitan, the members Mr. Luisito Padolina, Mr. Jose
Vasquez, and Mrs. Alma Jimenez, with the assistance of the school’s
Legal Counsel, Atty. Herminio Liwanag. The Union Panel was composed of
the Chair, Mr. Lozanto De Lara, Jr., and members Mr. Romer Gesmundo, Ms.
Ma. Corazon Mendoza, Mr. Michael Jambalos, Ms. Lilia Bracamonte, Mr.
Arnold Gallargo, Mr. Virgilio Peralta and Ms. Bella Saulog, with their
Legal Counsel, Atty Potenciano Flores, Jr.
The CBA is for a term of five years. It touched on the economic and
non-economic matters. The economic matters will be revisited after three
years.
I commend and thank the Management Panel and the Union Panel for the
successful conclusion of the CBA negotiations. With the new CBA, our
school can move forward towards progress and development for its own
good, the good of our country and the glory of God.
