Peace! Upon the recommendation of
the Administrators’ Council the Board of Trustees approved on July 6,
2007 the establishment of
1. San Beda College Alabang as a Center for the Performing Arts. The
Center will include theatre, dance, and music. It will coordinate
with and reinforce existing school organizations related to
performing arts. Initially the Center will offer workshops to
interested students, other members of the Bedan community, and
outsiders. The productions will feature the output of the workshops
as well as performances of invited artists.
2. San Beda College Alabang Museum. The school is
35 years old. It is time to
gather school memorabilia to be professionally preserved in a museum
for all generations of Alabang Bedans. Besides the permanent
exhibit, the museum will also have temporary exhibits of cultural,
historical, and scientific works. Both will be open to the general
public.
At the appropriate time detailed information will be issued regarding
the establishment and realization of the two projects.
