Peace!
Fr. Roberto De Jesus, OSB, passed away in the early hours of January 1,
2007. He was San Beda Alabang's first Director (1972-1979) and
supervised the initial operations of the new school. He will be always
remembered and thanked for his pioneering work in the establishment of
what is today known as San Beda College Alabang.
In behalf of the Benedictine Community I am requesting all to offer
prayers for the repose of his soul.
On Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 9:00 in the morning the funeral Mass for
Fr. Robert will be celebrated in the Abbey Church in Mendiola.
1. All members of the Administrators' Council, student councils of the
three academic departments, and employees who have known him during his
term as Director are invited to join the funeral Mass. The school bus
and coaster will leave at 7:30 in the morning in front of the main
building.
2. For employees who will remain in the campus there will be a prayer
service in the chapel at 10:30 in the morning. All are expected to take
part in the prayer service.
Eternal rest grant unto Fr. Robert, O Lord, and let perpetual light
shine upon him. May he and all the faithful departed rest in peace.
